GRAFFITI RESEARCH LAB MLA

GRL MANILA by PSP + MONOCHROME

Inspired by a 2010 meeting with artist group Graffiti Research Lab in Kyoto, Japan and Perth, Australia, where graffiti artists tried to practice on the spot graffiti or street interventions with the help of available technology, the Pilipinas Street Plan | Graffiti Research Lab project will be done for the first time in Bliss Market. On the evening of May 26 2012, PSP’s graffiti intervention will be presented together with a live musical performance by the band Monochrome.

About Pilipinas Street Plan (PSP)
PSP is a graffiti artist collective in Manila founded by Boy Agimat aka Mark Salvatus and and Deform Industry aka Mark Barreto. Currently supervised by Whoop, Jood, Wesley Valenzuela and Jovenz Mayor, PSP continues to be revolutionaries in the graffiti art scene in the Philippines. From 2005 to 2007, they gathered graffiti artists and writers across the country, and gradually dominated the streets and eventually the commercial scene.
