This exhibit is a means to find an excuse for these artists to put down their brushes and revert to what has always been the essence of all art forms, reconsidering the primary reason why most artists are artists, which is, nowadays overlooked by the ever changing demand for substance and methods of exploration in media and the contemporary aesthetic standards being imposed by the modernists and the conceptualists, where beauty lies behind the lines and the curves, and art in general would only be for the intellectuals to understand. There would be no point in arguing such subjective matters but a tap on the primitive sense of visual pleasure might not hurt.
Drawn Together is an installation of series of drawings by artists with backgrounds that range from comic book illustration, graffiti, painting, design, etc. on a collaborative wall drawing, bringing together several ideas, drawing styles, and conceptions as a single art piece.
