Lost & Found
Lost & Found
Presented by Pilipinas Street Plan
Pilipinas Street Plan has been sharing ideas about art in public space as an open collective for the past 7 years. As time goes by, individuals go on their on ways, going to different places, living abroad, establishing a career, starting a family - but the creativity, camaraderie and friendship still remains as the community constantly grows. For the exhibition Lost & Found, PSP will showcase works that are remnants, the idea of looking back, using what we have shared and impart to each one of the community. From mostly found discarded objects that where given a new perspective along with the idea of sharing the same table by openly inviting other creatives to take part - these collective thoughts signify what Pilipinas Street Plan is.

Dr. Karayom's Negative Graffiti
Dr. Karayom claims himself as the modern caveman. And it seems so that he is. His fresh clean up of portions of a road wall in Lerma St. Sampaloc, Manila, Philippines reveals figurative urban anecdotes, which recalls the pre-historic cave paintings. But Dr. Karayom has used a reverse process of painting that is fitting to an urban area riddled with dirt and dust. When the pre-historic humans blew or brushed the pigments on the wall, or engraved images, Dr. Karayom wiped off parts of the dusty wall to create images. More photos here.
